Artist, Photographer & Writer

Lucy Beaugard is a professional creative artist with over 15 years of experience spanning the commercial, editorial, branding, lifestyle and travel spaces. Her unique perspective is a reflection of the formal training she acquired in studio art and professional photography, as well as the lived experience of a Korean American immigrant raised just outside Philadelphia. Lucy is a visual storyteller drawn to shadows, movement, light and the subtle, often overlooked in-betweens.

A deep love for art — in all its messy, all consuming, expressive forms — has always shaped her point of view. Early in life and into her formal education she explored several mediums including painting, writing and functional ceramics, but it was the various disposable and point-and-shoot cameras she collected and toted everywhere as a child that sparked a lasting connection with visual storytelling. Long before she was permitted to explore the ever-expanding digital realm, her college curriculum demanded a full year of only shooting, developing and printing black-and-white film in all its various formats — 35mm, 4x5, medium, etc. This incredibly detail-oriented, slow-paced form of analog discipline refined her eye, grounded her in the physics of light and gave her a strong understanding and confidence to shoot in any scenario with ease and intention.
Lucy's work is rooted in creative flow, instinct, connection and a commitment to creating imagery that feels as honest as it looks refined. Through visual narrative, she builds a distinctive mood and captures the energy of a moment — quiet and raw, bold or unexpected. Whether capturing brand campaigns, hi-res content, editorial spreads, travel, hospitality, products or humans, Lucy brings a sharp, intentional eye and a collaborative energy that clients trust. Her hope is to continuously create images that resonate with her community.
Lucy currently resides in Colorado and frequently accepts work nationally and internationally. When she's not working seven day weeks you'll find her doting upon her lifeline pug, exploring mountain towns and sleeping in her little yellow tent or spending quality time with those whom she feels most connected to.
